This is a reconstruction of the only creature that could rival Megalodon. Therefore one of the greatest predators ever to exist on earth.  This giant prehistoric toothed whale was sculpted for an animation. It is to be seen in the new ocean exhibit at the Historyland museum in Hellevoetsluis. These monstrous whales would have grown to huge proportions measuring up to 18m in length weighing 50 metric tons. The Livyathan has the largest known functional teeth in the animal kingdom ever. Measuring up to 35 cm long root to tip they would have been phenomenal predators killing whatever they pleased.  It was a type of macroraptorial sperm whale that like the Megalodon sharks were on the top of the food chain. This means it had no natural enemies.
